News & Developments
GRIN Version 5.2.0-alpha.2 has been tagged and released.
Grin core developer @yeastplume stated that this version 5.2.0 alpha (5.2.0-alpha.2), contains PIBD (Parallel Independent Block Download), all of the fixes that have been implemented over the course of the previous several months, support for upcoming node work, and finally, an updated list of seeds.
There are things to test:
*Syncing from scratch on testnet via PIBD.
*Leaving testnet node offline for over a week then starting again. PIBD should kick off from the last verified height.
*Verifying DNS seeds for mainnet and testnet have been updated.
Please check the release page to see what needs to be tested! (Mostly PIBD and seeds)
